Welcome to Journey into the Bible: Exodus. This brief introduction is intended to help you, as leader, provide a simple but structured environment for participants in this Bible study. There is a Leader's Guide for each lesson; this Introduction and Overview offers suggestions on how to use the Journey into the Bible series in general.

The Leader's Guide is designed to assist you, the person who will facilitate the Bible Study session. It offers a number of prepared materials to provide variety and interest during the study session if necessary and to keep the session moving along; the facilitator does not have to use everything in the Leader's Guide at that particular session. The Leaders Guide will have:

• Opening and closing prayers
• Setting the Stage, a brief paragraph that can be read out loud to the participants that provides a context for the lesson
• Additional questions for the group to use if you have time
• Answers to any of the look-up questions in the lesson
• Bible Sleuth, a simple activity to get the group started with their own discussion of the material. Bible Sleuth not available for all lessons.
